Using the Annual Report to help improvement

Owen Evans, HMCI, visits St Mary’s RC Primary School in Chepstow to see how resources from our Annual Report have already helped improvement activities in their school and how their efforts have raised standards of Welsh for pupils.

Activities for school councils and pupil voice groups

We have chosen a few topics that have come up in the Annual Report that we think pupils would find interesting to discuss.

Choose the button for primary or secondary to see the animated activities that we have created for these topics.

The activity for primary pupils looks at how they can influence learning and the secondary activity focuses on Welsh history, including Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic history, identity and culture.

The character in each animation will take pupils through the questions.

Remember to download the forms at the start of the activity to make a note of ideas and actions.
